One day I accidentally picked up a box of crayons and that was when everything started to spark. There is something about being creative that has always motivated my desire to become the person I am today. Coming from both perspectives as a designer and an illustrator has given me the full potential and inspiration I need to fulfill my next ultimate goal. I like to be challenged and I am willing to push anywhere out of my comfort zone. I am a creative perfectionist, a big thinker, and a hard worker. Whatever it takes to climb up to the top, I will try my best to reach there. Please take a look around, if you think I can assist you in any one of your on going projects, I would love to hear from you. Thank you so much for allowing me to share a part of my world with you, be inspired, get inspired. Make art.
TITLE: Magical World
YEAR: 2012
CLIENT: FILO Films Inc
PROJECT: In collaboration with FILO Films (First In / Last Out), I was responsible for the art direction and title design in the music video “Magical World” for the up and coming Dvondre (Pooka) Woodards. Driven by the lyrics, I wanted the main title to evoke the color of sunrise through sunset. To represent a shedding of the past, the type design mimics the stylistic contours of street graffiti but in a way that is not entirely overwhelming and unreadable yet complex and interesting. Go see it here.
TITLE: Play Date
YEAR: 2012
CLIENT: madeinjazn
PROJECT: Love is an emotion that communicates to us strongly, it is at times complicated but can also be simple, playful and imaginative. In old silent films, the idea of the title card is to convey the character’s action, dialogue, and most importantly the emotion. I wanted the title card designs to have this overall interweaving fluid structure. Since love in “Play Date” is a young unabashed playful romance, I wanted to title cards to represent an old idea (silent film vignettes) with a modern and young twist. Go see it here.
TITLE: Business Card
YEAR: 2010
CLIENT: Personal
PROJECT: Minh in Vietnamese, simply means "bright" and Wind simply means the "movement of air". I decided to use this similar concept of fusion to incorperate aspects from both my website and blog designs to create a personal printed business card.

PROJECT: A small family owned business for Japanese imported incense approached me to design their company's identity. Since most of their products are from Kyoto, I thought about using the Sakura cherry-blossom as an outline for my overall concept. The logo design illustrates in a circular fashion because the cherry-blossom is an important symbol in Kyoto, it means life-cycle.
TITLE: Lotus

TITLE: Here and There
YEAR: 2007
CLIENT: Personal (PNCA Thesis)
PROJECT: The main emphasis of my thesis is to create a connection between my personal experience with coming to the U.S. and the experience of other Vietnamese immigrants in order to describe “hope” in a visual narrative. My story is not just about immigrating to the U.S. or about the war in Vietnam. It’s not about how we see ourselves as foreigners living in different soil. It’s about hope; our hope for a new home, a better life and embracing family.
  TITLE: Flight

The theme of “flight” gave me the ability to integrate with my interpretation through this memorable scenery.
