One day I accidentally picked up a box of crayons and that was when everything started to spark. There is something about being creative that has always motivated my desire to become the person I am today. Coming from both perspectives as a designer and an illustrator gives me all of the potential and inspiration I need to fulfill my next ultimate goal. I like to be challenged and willing to push anything out of my comfort zone. I am a perfectionist, a creative thinker, and a hard worker. Whatever it takes to climb up to the top, I will try my best to reach there. Please take a look around, if you think I can assist you in one of your on going projects, I would love to hear from you. Thank you so much for visiting.
TITLE: Qigong
CLIENT: Design Studio I
PROJECT: Qigong can be described as “a way of working with life energy.” There are three main branches of Qigong: Medical, spiritual, and martial art. It is an ancient Chinese art of meditation and physical exercise to enhance health. [poster]
TITLE: Eat Local
CLIENT: Ecotrust [www.ecotrust.org]
PROJECT: I designed a poster to promote Ecotrust’s Urban-Rural Partnership program, whose objective is to improve public understanding of local agriculture and increase the market share of locally grown food.
TITLE: Purity
CLIENT: Design Studio I
PROJECT: Each of the students had to pick out an object randomly from a bag. Mine was a set of skateboard wheels. We were asked to come up with a product along with a logo, business card, letter head, envelope, and package design.
NOTES: I turned those ugly looking wheels into incense holders. TITLE: Lotus
CLIENT: Design Studio I
PROJECT: A CD packaging design that contains Buddhist chants from around the world. The main purpose was to design a collection where I decided to archive these unique ritual sounds. The lotus mainly represents the blossoming of Buddha.
  TITLE: Vosges Valley
CLIENT: Design Studio III
PROJECT: Based on the vineyard name I was given, I came up with the overall branding direction and packaging design. Since the name "Vosges" is a type of white oak grows in France, I thought it would be appropriate to treat my design with the oak leaf shape.
NOTES: These are labels for the wine bottles. NOTES: Here are various logo explorations that I have developed for this project. TITLE: Rhetoric
CLIENT: Design Studio II
PROJECT: Based on the book Aristotle’s Rhetoric, I had to chart out the significant meanings how it could relate to my study in Graphic Design.
TITLE: Torch / Conceptual Typeface
CLIENT: Personal
PROJECT: Inspired by my first, middle, and last initials. I would
love to complete the entire font family in one of these days, and
sure it will be available for download. Keep an eye on this.
TITLE: Flight
CLIENT: Tokyo Revolution Design
PROJECT: The wind is an element of nature or it can function as a compass to guide us towards many places. To me, the wind will always be like feathers floating infinitely. The theme “flight” gave me the ability to integrate with my interpretation through this memorable scenery.
  TITLE: Here and There
CLIENT: PNCA Thesis
PROJECT: The main emphasis of my thesis is to create a connection between my personal experience coming to the U.S. and the experience of other Vietnamese immigrants in order to describe “hope” in a visual narrative.
My story is not just about immigrating to the U.S. or about the war in Vietnam. It’s not about how we see ourselves as foreigners living in different soil. It’s about hope; our hope for a new home, a better life and embracing family.
  TITLE: Float Series.1

PROJECT: This is an experimental piece.
TITLE: Sasta
